Students and Seniors have the ability to attend diverse genres of film screenings for only $9 and adults pay $10. Not only does the cinematheque offer afordable ticket prices, but I can't be the only one to acknowledge that movie ticket prices cost just about the same.
I attended the screening of David Bowie's film, The Man Who Fell To Earth. The film was three hours long, but I didn't notice because the theatre seats were increadibly comfortable and I could get a snack or refreshment from the lobby at any time.
Before the film began, a film society worker stood in front of the screen and introduced the film. He presented a free ticket to an upcoming film screening by choosing a raffle ticket number that coordinated with an audience members ticket stub. This is an excellent form of promotion. People who didn't win now have the desire to come again and try to win next time. This places a well-respected reputation toward The Miami Beach Film Society.
